Report: Trump unveils first TV campaign ad and promises to ‘cut the head off ISIS’

Donald Trump’s first TV campaign ad promise to “cut the head off ISIS” and “stop illegal immigration” by building a wall on the Mexican border.

A report in the Washington Post published Sunday night gave more details on Trump’s plans to spend $2 million per week on TV campaign ads, his first ad buy of the campaign. For the most part, Trump has relied on social media and the free exposure of media coverage until this point.

According to the Post report, the ad starts with shots of President Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton before transitioning to images of the San Bernardino shooters, migrants crossing the U.S.-Mexico Border and Islamic State militants.

Trump makes several campaign promises. He pledges to stop Muslims from entering the country, stop the Islamic State from exploting oil and build a wall on the United States’ southern border that he says Mexico will pay for.

An online video of the ad had not made its way into the public by late Sunday night.

The ad is set to begin airing on Monday. It will be aired in Iowa and New Hampshire to begin with before expanding to Nevada and South Carolina, Trump told the Post. He says six to eight ads are in production.

“I’m $35 million to $40 million under budget, and to be honest, I don’t think I need [ads] because I have such a big lead,” Trump said on CBS’ “Face the Nation” Sunday. “But I don’t want to take any chances, and I almost feel guilty not spending money.”
