WASHINGTON (AP) — A Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee says it makes no sense to participate in the select committee that Republicans want to create to investigate the 2012 attack on the U.S. diplomatic outpost in Benghazi, Libya.

Rep. Adam Schiff of California says he’d recommend that Democratic leaders not appoint any Democrats to the committee that Speaker John Boehner (BAY’-nur) is moving to set up.
