BOICEVILLE, N.Y. (AP) — Bread Alone is staying home.
Ulster County Executive Mike Hein (hine) says the artisan bread maker popular in the Hudson Valley and New York City has agreed to stay in the area.
Hein said Bread Alone will remain in its Boiceville production space about 85 miles north of New York City and also will operate at another location near Kingston in the Town of Ulster as part of a $4 million expansion plan.
Hein said Bread Alone had inquired into potential production space in New Jersey. But government officials were able to put together an incentive program that is expected to retain 45 jobs and create 14 new jobs over three years.
