We immediately noticed columnist George Will, huddling in the usual “conservative corner” with — who’s that? — a Democrat … Christine Pelosi, daughter of the House speaker, to be exact, who’s still promoting her book, “Campaign Boot Camp.” Pelosi told us she couldn’t reveal the content of their conversation, but she does recommend the eggs Benedict with American bacon.
Elsewhere, Atlantic Media Chief Executive Officer John Fox Sullivan dined with his old friend Geoff Mayo, a former TV commercial producer from New York.
Medstar CEO Kenneth Samet sat down with cardiologist William J. Oetgen Jr., of Maryland HealthCare Associates.
We also spotted former Mondale aide and Fannie Mae chief Jim Johnson, as well as Jonathan Silver’s regular group from Core Capital Partners.
And as we were leaving, we spied former CIA Director George Tenet on his way in.
