Sanders: ‘I appreciate Bill Clinton being my psychoanalyst’

Sen. Bernie Sanders used a joke Sunday to respond to former President Bill Clinton’s suggestion that the Vermont senator is subconsciously sexist.

Clinton has said that Sanders would not have levied some of the charges that he has against Hillary Clinton if she were male.

“I think there are different standards for women,” Clinton said Friday on MSNBC. “Some of them are subconscious.”

Sanders replied sarcastically.

“I appreciate Bill Clinton being my psychoanalyst,” Sanders said on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday. “It’s always nice,” Sanders continued.

Sanders then attacked Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.

“I have my doubts about what kind of president she would make,” Sanders said.

Clinton “voted for the disastrous war in Iraq,” Sanders said. She “has supported virtually every disastrous trade agreement, which has cost us millions of decent-paying jobs. And who has received incredible amounts of money — we’re talking about tens of millions of dollars through her super PAC — from every special interest you can think of, and from the billionaire class,” Sanders said.
