Nye & Sanders: Voters who don’t agree with us on climate change have a disorder [VIDEO]

Former children’s television show host Bill Nye really doesn’t like people who question the science behind climate change, and he is getting nastier about it.

During a Facebook Live chat yesterday with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Nye lamented the fact that there were still large numbers of people who dare to question his authoritarian views on climate change. He even accused them of having symptoms of a mental disorder.

“To the deniers out there. I want you to think about what is called cognitive dissonance,” Nye said, referring to the disorder when people are psychologically incapable of accepting reality. “Instead of accepting that the climate is changing, deniers are denying the evidence and dismissing the authorities.”

Later that night, when challenged by Tucker Carlson to specify the degree to which humans are actually causing the climate to change, Nye again refused to accept any view that might suggest humans were not 100 percent responsible for climate change.

“The core question from what I can tell is why the change?” Carlson asked. “Is it part of the endless cycle of climate change or is human activity causing it? That seems to be the debate to me, and it seems an open question, not a settled question to what degree human activity is causing that.”

“It’s not an open question,” Nye insisted. “It’s a settled question. Human activity is causing climate change.”

Since losing his job as a children’s television host on PBS, Nye has turned to climate alarmism and attacking religion as a way to stay relevant in society today. He has advocated for massive carbon taxes as a way of “redistributing wealth,” expressed an openness to criminal charges and potential jail time for people who deny climate change, and claimed that being pro-life represents a deep lack of scientific understanding.

While Nye wants all of us to drastically reduce our carbon footprint, he hasn’t always lived up to his words. In 2015, Nye literally tweeted he was going to celebrate Earth Day and act on climate by flying with President Obama to the Florida Everglades on Air Force One. Their one day trip consumed 9,180 gallons of fuel, which is equivalent to burning approximately 88,000 pounds of coal or 190 barrels of crude oil.

In total, approximately 90 tons of carbon dioxide were emitted during their Earth Day flight, because apparently, only the little people have to reduce their carbon footprint.
