Mitt Romney to headline Republican Jewish Coalition dinner in Las Vegas

Mitt Romney is scheduled to address the Republican Jewish Coalition’s spring conference in Las Vegas, the Washington Examiner has learned.

The 2012 Republican presidential nominee will speak during a VIP dinner on April 23, the opening day of the RJC gathering.

Set to address RJC members on April 25, the final day of the conference, are 2016 Republican White House hopefuls Rick Perry, the former Texas governor, and Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas. Sen. Rob Portman, R-Ohio, who briefly considered running for president but opted to seek re-election to the Senate, is also set to speak April 25.

Coalition gatherings have become a priority campaign layover for Republican leaders and presidential candidates. The three-day spring conference brings together some of the most influential Republican donors and political operatives from around the country, and will be held on the home turf of casino magnate and GOP Jewish mega-donor Sheldon Adelson.

Also addressing the conference is former President George W. Bush, who will address attendees Saturday evening. House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, and Indiana Gov. Mike Pence are scheduled to speak Saturday afternoon. Pence has been mentioned as a possible 2016 candidate.

The Bush and Romney speeches are closed to the press. The Saturday appearances by Boehner, Cruz, Pence, Perry and Portman are open for reporters to cover.
