Magnitude 6.6 quake off British Columbia coast

PORT ALICE, British Columbia (AP) — A magnitude 6.6 quake was recorded Wednesday night in the Pacific Ocean off the northwest corner of British Columbia’s Vancouver Island, the U.S. Geological Survey’s National Earthquake Information Center said.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries. There was no danger of a tsunami, according to the U.S. National Tsunami Warning Center in Palmer, Alaska.
