All four wards of the District’s juvenile-justice agency who escaped from a South Carolina juvenile detention center last week have been apprehended.

Three of the four teens who ran away from the Palmetto Summerville Behavioral Health Center the night of April 20 had been apprehended the next morning. One, 19-year-old Delonte Parker, remained at large.

The Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services said in a statement Thursday that the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force took him into custody without incident. The department didn’t say where he was apprehended.

The District spends $20 million a year to send about 225 wards of to detention centers in other states. Nine are being held at the Palmetto facility.

The South Carolina escapes came just two days after DYRS ward Travon Carey, 18, beat a corrections officer to escape from the New Beginnings youth detention center in Laurel.
