American Future Fund Video Links Obama to “Fast and Furious” Scandal

A new video released by the American Future Fund directly links President Barack Obama and U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder to operation “fast and furious,” the “gunwalking” scandal that Holder has repeatedly denied having any knowledge of.

The video alludes to Holder’s Justice Department losing more than 1,700 firearms in the process of attempting to track the gun purchases by Mexican drug cartels.

Holder said he heard about “fast and furious” as late as May 11, 2011, but official documents from July 5, 2010 show that Holder knew about the operation long before he admitted to knowing about it.

President Obama has said he has confidence in Holder and that he too had no knowledge of the operation until it was uncovered by the media.

“But after cover-ups and denials, can America have confidence in the president?” the video asks viewers.

The scandal came to light in December 2010, when U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was gunned down while patrolling the U.S.-Mexico border by an assault rifle that was marked as a firearm from “fast and furious.”

The American Future Fund is highlighting the poor judgement of the president to trust an attorney general who has been caught lying, and may be found to be held in contempt when the House votes next week.
