Obama recording robocall for Clinton, Dems

President Obama is recording a robocall for Democratic candidates, including presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, that will encourage the party faithful to turn out Nov. 8.

Obama will record his voice for use by the party to encourage voters to “be supportive of a candidate that he endorsed,” White House spokesman Josh Earnest said Thursday.

Obama has backed hundreds of state and federal candidates this cycle, Earnest said. He has engaged in online activities for them, such as signing emails, cut radio and television ads and participated in radio interviews. This is all in addition to the very public rallies he headlines for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and scores of private fundraisers he appears at for her and the Democratic Party, Earnest said.

As for the automated calls, if voters haven’t heard them yet, they will be soon, he said.
