I just ran across this quote over the weekend from Henry Kissinger’s From Years of Upheaval:
“Any negotiator who seduces himself into believing that his personality leads to automatic breakthroughs will soon find himself in the special purgatory that history reserves for those who measure themselves by acclaim rather than by achievement.”
Perhaps it reminds you of a certain Nobel Laureate?
