On Saturday, the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer begins its annual trek through the District.

Participants will walk 26.2 miles in a circle route that starts at the Washington Monument before it passes by the Supreme Court and weaves through historic Georgetown. On Sunday the walk goes 13.1 additional miles that past Embassy Row and the National Cathedral.
