Stepmother of abducted children back in jail

BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) — The stepmother of three children taken by their father to the Bahamas against custody orders was sent back to jail after she removed a GPS monitor she was ordered to wear.

Angela Bryant had been released pending her sentencing this month. A condition of her release was that she wear the monitor.

Authorities say they could not locate the 45-year-old Bryant for several hours Tuesday. She called officials later that day, saying she had been visiting the jail.

The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports (http://bit.ly/LZX8d7) that her release was revoked Thursday and she was booked on $10,000 bail.

James Bryant has been sentenced to four years in prison on one count of parenting interference. He kept the three children on a sailboat in the Bahamas for over seven months.
