WATCH: Molly Shannon says Gary Coleman was ‘relentless’ in sexually harassing her

Saturday Night Live actress Molly Shannon accused Diff’rent Stokes actor and comedian Gary Coleman of sexually harassing her.

Shannon described the alleged incident while appearing on The Howard Stern Show Tuesday, saying she had just signed with Coleman’s manager at the time and was invited to meet Coleman in his penthouse hotel room.

“I think he was like, ‘Sit down [on the bed].’ It was very sweet,” Shannon said. “And then he’s, like, tickling me a little, this and that.”

The actress said she turned down Coleman’s advances, explaining to him that she was a virgin and trying “to be polite.” But Shannon said he became more aggressive.

“He was relentless,” Shannon said. “Then he was, like, trying to kiss me and get on top, and I was like, ‘No, Gary. Stop.’ So I push him off. Then I would get off the bed. Then he would bounce on the bed, jump, jump, jump, and wrap himself around me. Then I would fling him off, and then he got on top of me.”

Shannon said she didn’t feel physically threatened because of Coleman’s size but that she was out of breath from continually throwing him off “because it was athletic and aerobic.”

“He grabs me onto my leg, and I was like [trying to] kick him off,” Shannon added. “And then I go lock myself in the bathroom, and then he sticks his hands under the door. And he’s like, ‘I can see you.’”

She said she was eventually able to sprint out of the room and told her agent to “watch” Coleman better. Shannon said she regrets not standing up for herself more.

Coleman died in 2010.
