The kind of television news networks an American watches could determine what he or she worries about most on a daily basis, a new survey reported.
Viewers of Fox News, which is perceived to have a more conservative audience, compared to viewers of MSNBC, which is perceived to have a more left-leaning audience, have vastly different fears, according to a survey from SafeHome.org.

For MSNBC viewers, the survey found concerns over the nation becoming more divided was their top fear. Comparatively, Fox News viewers considered a home break-in as their chief concern. Fear of the nation becoming more fragmented was the number two fear of Fox viewers.
Further divides were seen on views of access to healthcare. Access to affordable healthcare ranked low among the fears of Fox News viewers while it ranked towards the top of the list for MSNBC viewers.
Still, there were commonalities in fears shared by viewers of both networks. Societal breakdown and overall distrust of government and its institutions were shared by viewers of both networks.
Despite the onslaught of criticism television news broadcasts have received over its fairness in coverage, the survey also found television news is trusted more than social media and just as much as radio.
According to the survey, newspapers were found to be the most trusted media source.
