Latin singers are using their artistic talent to be part of the anti-Trump bandwagon.

Emilio Estefan is bringing together his wife Gloria Estefan, Shakira, Carlos Santana, Thalia, Pepe Aguilar and Wyclef Jean for “We’re All Mexicans.” The Estefans are Cuban.

Billboard reports that the track will be released later this month. They also mention that it is an effort to “battle Trump, bigotry.”

The song is in response to Trump’s remarks on Mexican immigrants. Emilio Estefan says it is not about Trump, but about “unity.” From Billboard:

Estefan, who says he’s known Trump “for many, many years,” insists that “We’re All Mexican” “is not so much an answer to the real-estate developer turned Republican candidate as it is an answer to the sentiment that we’ve progressed [as Hispanics] and we need to let people know that.” And with this song, he adds, “I want to send a message that represents unity.”
“Trump doesn’t represent anything to me,”  Estefan tells Billboard. “Everyone has their opinion, and he can have whatever opinion he wants, as long as he doesn’t humiliate my people.”

It will be interesting to see what, if any, effect the track’s release has on Trump’s status as a front-runner.
