Arnold Schwarzenegger has achieved his lifelong dream of “possessing” his own tank — yes, a tank — and he is giving one lucky, charitable individual a chance to literally go crush things with him.
The action-movie star and California’s former Governator posted a video to YouTube Wednesday riding around in a tank and running over a variety of objects: a table of birthday cakes, a copy of “Million Dollar Baby” (because it makes him cry — wait, Arnold doesn’t cry), a miniature tank (how meta).
“There’s a weight bench with 501 pounds, and I am going to crush my own record,” he says at one point before ramming into some weightlifting equipment.
The point of all this? To raise money for After School All-Stars, a charity whose mission is to “provide comprehensive after-school programs that keep children safe and help them succeed in school and life.” Schwarzenegger previously promoted the campaign for the charity by disguising himself as a Gold’s Gym employee named “Howard.”
In the video, he invites the viewer to donate money to the charity drive for an opportunity to join him in Los Angeles, where they’ll “crush something together, work out together, smoke cigars together,” the contest information states. Entries start at a $10 donation benefiting After-School All-Stars, and as donations increase, prizes like autographed posters and t-shirts follow. The drive ends Friday.
But as Arnold would no doubt tell you, the ride has yet to begin.
