Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine Wednesday asked state and local public safety officials to improve communication and update strategies for better coordination during a disaster.
“It is very much an effort to bring together the key folks in public safety along with local officials,” said Kaine, who gave the state’s participation in the STARS program as an example of future actions.
