Report Card: Raven clipped Eagles

QUARTERBACK

Joe Flacco completed just 12-of-26 passes for 183 yards and two touchdowns. But he did not commit a turnover and outplayed five-time Pro Bowler Donovan McNabb, who was pulled for Kevin Kolb in the second half. Grade: C

RUNNING BACKS

Fullback Le’Ron McClain rushed for a team-high 88 yards on 18 carries. No other back could establish anything on the ground, as the rest of the team combined for 22 yards on 22 carries. Grade: C

RECEIVERS

Mark Clayton had two catches for 76 yards, including a 53-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. Tight end Daniel Wilcox had a one-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter. Derrick Mason had three catches for 40 yards, and Todd Heap finished with two catches for 26 yards. Grade: C+

OFFENSIVE LINE

The Eagles had plenty of pressure on Flacco. The rookie was sacked three times and the running game mustered just 110 yards on 40 carries. But the line held up in the second half, when the Ravens scored 24 points — 17 on offense — in the fourth quarter. Grade: C

DEFENSIVE LINE

The Eagles’ running game was no match for the Ravens’ front three of Haloti Ngata, Trevor Pryce and Justin Bannan. Philadelphia finished with 86 yards rushing on 21 carries, led by Brian Westbrook’s 39 yards on 14 carries. Ngata finished with five tackles and Pryce had three tackles and a half-sack. Grade: A

LINEBACKERS

Jarret Johnson forced and recovered a fumble on Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb and also finished with six tackles and 1.5 sacks. Ray Lewis and Terrell Suggs made four tackles apiece. Grade: A

SECONDARY

The defensive backs had their best game of the season, as they made four interceptions, including two by safety Ed Reed. Reed returned his second an NFL-record 108 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. The Eagles completed just 18-of-41 passes for 132 yards. Grade: A

COACHING

John Harbaugh remained patient throughout the first three quarters, especially on offense as Flacco completed just 5-of-16 passes in the first half. The Ravens, however, continued to stress the running game and pressured on defense in the second half. Grade: B

OVERALL

The Ravens bounced back in a big way after a 30-10 loss to the New York Giants. The Ravens dominated the Eagles on every play but one: a 100-yard kickoff return by Quintin Demps shortly before halftime. Grade: B
