He was flanked by two military officials and walked in front of the missile as it made its way out of the hangar, according to the footage.


Intense contemporary electronic music plays as Kim and the commanders, who all appear to be wearing the exact same watch, continuously check the time.

Finally, Kim nods and the missile shoots off.

The three men all cheer, and the supreme leader leads them in a “hurray.”

The video is believed by experts outside of the hermit nation to be part of an attempt to make state media productions more modern, according to Reuters.
