The Lincoln Memorial was defaced early Tuesday morning with an anti-law message.
The monument was tagged around 4:30 Tuesday morning with red spray paint that appears to say “fuck law,” according to U.S. Park Police.
Preservation crews have started cleaning up the mess with a “gel-type architectural pain stripper safe for use on historic stone.”
