A populist Thanksgiving
This Thanksgiving, you’ll be happy to know you can eat like the Edwardses. John Edwards’ mother, Bobbie, sent out an e-mail on Monday appealing for donations to her son’s presidential campaign in exchange for recipes.

Bobbie’s proffer? Her own “special recipe for one of John’s favorites, Mac n’ Cheese!” Plus campaign manager David Bonior and his wife Judy’s recipes for “Sweet Potatoes with Apples” and “Mushroom Soup.” Wait, there’s more: Adviser Joe Trippi and his wife Kathy’s “Old Fashioned Down onthe Farm Country Stuffing.”
Now how much would you pay? Try $20.08, “for the year we’ll elect my son the next president of the United States.”
It’s not the first time the Edwards camp has appealed to donors’ bellies. On the candidate’s birthday in June, it offered up his mothers’ pecan pie recipe for a donation of $6.10.
