Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson will appear Monday for her confirmation hearings before the Senate Judiciary Committee, where she will publicly speak to her qualifications to serve on the high court.
Hearings will start at 11 a.m. Monday. Both Jackson and senators on the committee will introduce themselves and deliver opening statements. On Tuesday, members of the committee will each have 30 minutes to question Jackson and an additional 20 minutes Wednesday.

Jackson became the first black woman to be selected for the high court after President Joe Biden tapped her to succeed retiring Justice Stephen Breyer last month, marking the president’s first Supreme Court nominee as well. If she is confirmed by the evenly divided Senate, she will be the first black woman to serve on the court.
