McNabb’s last flight vs. Skins?

This could be good news for the Redskins. Donovan McNabb might be playing his last game in Washington, at least as a member of the Eagles.

Or this could be bad news for them. This is just another game. And McNabb won’t be going anywhere.

A bloated salary cap number in 2008, plus the presence of 2007 second-round pick, quarterback Kevin Kolb, suggests it’s the former. But McNabb says the latter is more accurate.

After saying he had no control over his future, McNabb said he’s convinced he’ll end his career as an Eagle.

“Absolutely I’ll be here,” he said. “This probably won’t be the last time you see me in an Eagles uniform, as sad as that is for you guys on that side. I enjoy this game; I love playing this game. That’s what motivates me each week and I’ll be truly motivated coming into this game.”

McNabb is 10-5 against the Redskins and 3-2 since Joe Gibbs returned in 2004. He has an 88.41 passer rating against Washington in those five games.

“He’s been the single player the last four years that has hurt us,” Gibbs said. “They’re a deep-throwing team, he gets out of the pocket and makes things happen. For us, there have been a lot of problems.”
