Donald Trump issued his first critical tweets of the New York Times and Washington Post as president of the United States on Saturday.

The New York Times later fired back at Trump, saying its subscription and audience levels are “at all-time highs.”

Trump made a habit of criticizing the New York Times and the Washington Post as a candidate and president-elect.
As president, the Trump administration has already gone after news outlets for what he says is misreporting the size of his inauguration crowd.
Trump also called out a Time reporter last week for incorrectly reporting that a bust of Martin Luther King Jr. had been removed from the Oval Office. The reporter, Zeke Miller, quickly sent out an apology after realizing his mistake.
