The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, gave birth Monday morning to a baby boy, her third baby with Prince William.
“Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs,” Kensington Palace said in a statement. “The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”

A name has not yet been announced for the prince, who is now fifth in line to the British throne, after his older brother, Prince George, 4.
The birth comes just weeks before the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on May 19.
