President Trump on Monday touted his support of Gov. Asa Hutchinson, who was at the White House Monday night for a dinner to discuss border security, in his race for re-election in Arkansas.
“.@AsaHutchinson the great Governor of Arkansas, is in a primary tomorrow. He has done an incredible job with a focus on lower taxes, border security, and crime prevention. Asa loves our military and our veterans. I fully endorse Asa for Governor!” Trump tweeted.

Hutchinson and other governors were at the White House Monday to talk with Trump about U.S. immigration policy and border security.
Hutchinson’s re-election platform echos many of Trump’s policy positions, including tax reform and job growth.
Hutchinson faces GOP challenger Jan Morgan in Tuesday’s primary contest.
