Fellow soldier accused Dallas shooter of sexual harassment

The man who killed five Dallas police officers Thursday had been accused by a fellow army soldier in Afghanistan in 2014 of sexual harassment and was sent home, according to the Associated Press.

Military lawyer Bradford Glendening, who represented the shooter, Micah Johnson, said Johnson was sent back to the United States with the recommendation he be removed from the Army with an “other than honorable” discharge. But Johnson ultimately received an honorable discharge, for reasons Glendening doesn’t understand.

Johnson served in the Army Reserve for six years starting in 2009 and was in Afghanistan from November 2013 to July 2014. It was no doubt some of the skills he acquired in the Army that enabled him to murder Dallas police officers with such awful efficiency.
