Laptops and iPads belonging to Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign aides in California were stolen last week, along with “detailed information about Romney’s presidential campaign” that they contained.
The equipment was stolen from a rental vehicle while the staffers were eating dinner. “When they returned, someone had grabbed all their belongings, including two iPads, two handheld radios and two laptops with detailed information about Romney’s presidential campaign,” 10News in San Diego reports.
Romney’s campaign told 10News they aren’t worried about the data on the computers, but political analyst Carl Luna suggested that “worst case scenario . . . some of this stuff makes it onto the Internet and if somebody could spin it against them they might.”
