PHILADELPHIA — Donald Trump panned New York City’s former mayor as “little Michael Bloomberg” on Friday, after Bloomberg spoke on behalf of Hillary Clinton at the Democratic National Convention.
In a pair of tweets, Trump said “little Michael Bloomberg” never had the “guts” to run for president, after he floated possible independent campaigns in both 2008 and 2014. He also said Bloomberg wouldn’t get more than 10 percent support if he ran again for mayor of New York after serving for three terms.
“‘Little’ Michael Bloomberg, who never had the guts to run for president, knows nothing about me. His last term as Mayor was a disaster!” Trump tweeted. “If Michael Bloomberg ran again for Mayor of New York, he wouldn’t get 10% of the vote – they would run him out of town! #NeverHillary.”
