A Pennsylvania man was arrested and charged in the killing of a female Uber driver, authorities said.
Calvin Crew, a 22-year-old from Penn Hills, faces counts of criminal homicide, robbery, and tampering with evidence in connection to the Feb. 11 death of 38-year-old Christi Spicuzza, who begged him not to kill her after he entered her vehicle and pulled a gun, according to the dashcam footage from her Uber vehicle, police said in a criminal complaint.
Spicuzza told Crew, “I’m begging you, I have four kids,” according to a report from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Crew used his girlfriend’s phone to request an Uber ride, and upon getting in the vehicle, he held a gun to Spicuzza’s head, according to the criminal complaint.
“You’ve got to be joking,” Spicuzza said as soon as Crew held the gun to her head. The complaint indicated that Crew then reminded her that he had a gun while she told him that she had a family.
“I’ve got a family, too. Now drive,” he said.
Spicuzza repeatedly requested Crew to remove the gun from her head, and he kept it aimed at her neck. Crew then reached forward to grab her phone from the dashboard. After that, he instructed Spicuzza to do what he said, right before he reached forward to grab the dashcam, according to the criminal complaint.
Spicuzza was found dead from a bullet shot to the head after initially being reported missing the same day that she had picked up Crew, police said. The complaint claimed that the dashcam was found near where Crew had requested to be dropped off.
