Anyone who has a problem with 20-year-old James Taylor’s largest party to hit West Michigan is a “spaz.”

Taylor’s party reportedly featured two DJs, as well as fire-throwers, go-go dancers, and strippers. As many as 500 people filled the house, and about 2,000 more gathered outside. Taylor told Fox 17 that one person even drove up from Tampa to attend the bash.

The party got a little bit out of hand and even attracted a local news crew. Taylor accepted his newfound celebrity with just a simple shrug and a YOLO.

“I didn’t make anybody stay here until 7 a.m. or 11 a.m. or whenever it is that everybody finally left. I didn’t make this kid pass out on the floor,” Taylor said to Fox 17, pointing at a party attendee lying face down on the ground. “People wanted to be here. That was their decision.”

Police officers and paramedics from three counties were on standby for the “rave-like party,” MLive reported. They decided not to break up the party because attendees were “not in a cop-friendly attitude” and having that many people rush to cars could have actually caused a more dangerous situation.

Five or six people were hospitalized for drug overdoses or other injuries suffered at the party.  At least one woman reported a sexual assault at the party, MLive found.

Police have asked prosecutors to file charges against Taylor, but the party host is not sweating it.

“I feel like anybody that’s got a problem with me partying out here, in the middle of nowhere, is a spaz,” he announced.
