SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (Legal Newsline) – The Illinois Supreme Court has once again refused to disqualify Justice Lloyd A. Karmeier from reviewing the $10.1 billion Price v. Philip Morris tobacco case.
In an announcement posted March 11, the Court denied a second request made by St. Louis attorney Stephen Tillery to keep Karmeier from participating in impending proceedings of the decade-old light cigarette labeling case.
