To the Max
For some, drunken debauchery ends with a college diploma. Others, like Tucker Max, make a career out of it. Max, the popular blogger and author of “I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell,” has become the envy of frat boys everywhere by chronicling his exploits with women and the bottle.
On Friday, he signed copies of his book at Barnes & Noble before decamping to Gin & Tonic, the frat-boy haven in Glover Park. There, he hosted a special screening of an upcoming movie based on his book for a select group of about 40 friends.
Then management opened the doors to the general public, and he hung out almost until last call, posing for photos, signing books and talking to the patrons.
So what’s he like in real life? “He was just as funny in real life,” said one partygoer. “When you think in your head what Tucker Max would be, that’s pretty much what you get.”
