Kellyanne Conway criticizes West Wing coworkers: Report

White House counselor Kellyanne Conway reportedly criticized her West Wing coworkers at a party Thursday night and claims she’s “the one catching the slings and arrows in the West Wing.”

Politico reported Conway was overheard at the British Embassy having an off-the-record conversation with reporters and other party attendees and a Twitter account, @kellyanneleaks, posted the snippets of conversations.

According to the report, Conway said President Trump told her to say “[Former FBI Director] Jim Comey is going to have to wait and see about the tapes,” which she said is akin to a “no comment.”

She also mimicked White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and his attempts to get people to stop leaking from the West Wing. Conway also reportedly questioned what legislative director Marc Short does all day.

White House press secretary Sean Spicer said Conway disputed the account and claimed Conway and Short are close. He also said Conway was not mocking Spicer, instead mocking reporters who love palace intrigue stories.

Spicer added Conway didn’t push back on Trump’s proposed comment about Comey’s testimony, instead explaining what lawyers said the White House is allowed to say.
