Former President Bill Clinton decided to engage President-elect Trump on Twitter Tuesday afternoon by agreeing with Trump that Clinton did, in fact, call to offer his congratulations.
Trump had earlier tweeted that Clinton’s statement to a local newspaper that Trump called him after the election was false and that Clinton had in fact called Trump.
“Here’s one thing (Trump) and I can agree on — I called him after the election,” Clinton tweeted.
In that same interview, Clinton had said Trump “doesn’t know much” aside from “how to get angry, white men to vote for him.” Trump slammed Clinton for not getting more voters to come out and vote for Hillary Clinton in the election.
