As we reported earlier this month, Ellen DeGeneres has been trying in vain to get CNN’s Wolf Blitzer on her show, even calling his studio during his broadcast.

On the red carpet at Sunday night’s Emmy Awards, DeGeneres was asked about it yet again. “Wolf, come on, get on the show with me,” she begged. “Yes, do it.”
For his part, Blitzer played the Emmys clip during his show on Monday afternoon. “Of course I’ll be on your show, and I’d love you to come on my show as well,” he told DeGeneres over the airwaves.
But it wasn’t enough for her. At the suggestion of a viewer, she got “Hardball” host Chris Matthews on the phone during her show Tuesday.
While they discussed the O.J. Simpson case, the crawl across the bottom of the screen read: “Ellen’s on the phone with Chris Matthews because Wolf Blitzer wouldn’t take her call.”
When she asked him about Blitzer, Matthews replied, “He’s a little different than me,” before imploring Ellen to “dump him, get me on. Forget him. It’s a rivalry here.”
Game on, gentlemen.
