Hobby Lobby recalls 14,000 Chinese stools following reports of injuries

Hobby Lobby is recalling at least 14,000 wooden stools made in China following accounts of them breaking under people across the nation.

After six people were supposedly injured by the stools, Hobby Lobby told customers they should “immediately stop using the recalled stools and return them to the nearest Hobby Lobby store for a full refund,” according to a Wednesday notice released by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Hobby Lobby has received seven reports of the stool breaking while in use, including six incidents resulting in minor injuries,” according to the notice.

The recalled stools are wooden with white legs and a curved brown seat. The stools also have “a touch of distressing,” according to the notice.

The stools were sold in stores across the nation between June and July this year at $80.
