Clinton loves to fast-forward through GOP debates

Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton typically tries to avoid watching the Republican presidential debates live.

The former Secretary of State told NBC’s Jimmy Fallon he “nailed it” when he asked if she was dodging the sixth GOP debate Thursday night, which aired shortly after her taped interview on the “Tonight Show.”

“Usually I’m not home when the debates are going on. I have other things that I’m out doing so I do try to catch up on them and I love to be able to fast forward,” added Clinton.

The former first lady said when she does watch a Republican debate, her husband Bill is usually around for it and enjoys giving commentary on the candidates’ responses to questions.

Fallon suggested turning the debates into a drinking game where Clinton takes a shot every time her name is mentioned, but Clinton had health concerns.

“I don’t think I’d make it past the first half hour,” she said.

The interview hit on a number of topics from sleep deprivation to being a grandmother and back to the race for the White House. Fallon asked Clinton if she was intimidated by GOP front-runner Donald Trump.

Clinton burst out laughing, then said, “If I’m so fortunate to be the Democratic nominee obviously I will run against whoever they nominate, but if it’s Donald Trump they nominate against me it will be quite the showdown.”

She also said the self-funded New York billionaire is a lot more obsessed with her than she is with him.
