“West Wing” star Martin Sheen traveled to Columbus, Ohio, on Wednesday to lend at hand at an Ohio food bank — and also help out Sen. Sherrod Brown‘s re-election efforts. We hear Brown, his wife Connie Schultz and pretty much his entire staff are “West Wing” fanatics. Brown gave us the official response: “An entire generation of young people — across America and in my Senate and campaign offices — became interested in government and public service because of the ‘West Wing,'” he told Yeas & Nays via email. “What a profound impact.” President Jed Bartlet couldn’t have said it better himself.
