Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump refused to say whether he believes President Obama is sympathetic to Islamic extremism, during a Fox News interview with Bill O’Reilly Monday night.
When asked if Obama wants the Islamic State to prosper and what motive the president would have for wanting such a thing, Trump diverted the conversation.
Instead of answering the questions, the New York businessman brought up Obama’s refusal to use the phrase “radical Islamic terrorism.”
O’Reilly, visibly frustrated, doubled down, “You’re kinda dodging my question and you don’t usually do that.”
“I don’t believe anything,” Trump responded. “I see things and whether it’s the Iran deal, whether it’s not wanting to mention the words ‘radical Islam’ or ‘radical Islamic terrorism’ or other things, Bill, you look at what’s going on, you look at facts.”
The New York businessman has been quick to criticize the president for his handling of foreign affairs, especially those related to terrorism.
But for all of the attacks Trump has launched against Obama, charging him with not fighting Islamic terrorism enough, the billionaire proved reluctant to do when put on the spot.
