There is no foul play suspected in the death of the unidentified man, who was staying at the Sandals Emerald Bay Resort in Great Exuma, police said. His body will be flown to New Providence, New Jersey, for an autopsy.
Tuesday’s reported death comes three months after three guests died at the same resort in May. Michael Phillips, 68, Robbie Phillips, 65, and Vincent Chiarella, 64, were found unresponsive in their rooms on May 6, with their cause of death given as carbon monoxide poisoning, according to the Nassau Guardian.
Sandals Resorts has since installed carbon monoxide detectors in all of its guest rooms at the Sandals Emerald Bay Resort.
