Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw condemned an incident in Florida over the weekend in which a man drove a van through a Republican Party tent in Jacksonville, Florida, potentially targeting Trump campaign volunteers.
“A left-wing extremist drives a van at Republicans and the media barely blinks,” the freshman Republican congressman tweeted on Sunday. “#Antifa routinely sprays people (often journalists) with bear spray and damages property, and they are defended as ‘heroes.'”

Jacksonville police arrested 27-year-old Gregory Timm on Sunday after they say he drove his van through a GOP tent in a parking lot of a Walmart where volunteers were registering people to vote. Nobody was injured during the incident.
Timm was charged with aggravated assault, criminal mischief, and driving with a suspended driver’s license. Police are watching social media for the video. Lt. Larry Gayle said on Saturday that officers do not know whether the attack was politically motivated.
The local Republican Party and some statewide party leaders, including U.S. Sens. Rick Scott and Marco Rubio, denounced the attack.
