RAYMONDVILLE, Texas (AP) — Federal officials say they have seized two acres of marijuana plants growing in South Texas.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said Tuesday that Homeland Security Investigations agents and the Border Patrol discovered the crop on Aug. 7 in fields 10 minutes outside Raymondville. It took agents two days to pluck the 11,500 plants from the soil, netting more than 4½ tons of marijuana.
