Donald Trump attempted to shift attention away from his failed Atlantic City casinos on Wednesday to the Democratic policies he claims have decimated the once-bustling gambling hub.
Hours before Hillary Clinton was to deliver a speech in New Jersey about Trump’s “dangerous” economic policies down the street from the Trump Taj Mahal, the presumptive Republican presidential challenged Clinton to “ask the Democrat City Council what happened to Atlantic City.”
Hillary Clinton should ask why the Democrat pols in Atlantic City made all the wrong moves – Convention Center, Airport – and destroyed City

“Even the once great Caesars is bankrupt in [Atlantic City]. Others to follow,” Trump added, downplaying the four visits his own casino companies made to bankruptcy court from 1991 to 2009.
I made a lot of money in Atlantic City and left 7 years ago, great timing (as all know). Pols made big mistakes, now many bankruptcies.

Clinton has used the real estate mogul’s business record against him, claiming that the hundreds of millions of dollars he accrued in debt during his days in Atlantic City in New Jersey are a foreshadowing of what the country would face with Trump at the helm.
The former secretary of state intends to carry that same message to the resort city on Wednesday, where her campaign has said she will “specifically point to Trump’s own campaign promise that he would ‘do for the country what I did for my business’ as a warning for why voters cannot allow him to endanger our economy from the White House.”
Trump will likely respond further to Clinton’s Atlantic City visit during his campaign rally Wednesday evening in Cincinnati, Ohio.
