A former Montgomery County police officer has been sentenced to house arrest for using law enforcement databases to look up information for her fiance.
U.S. District Judge Deborah Chasanow ordered 38-year-old Delores Culmer to serve five months of home detention with electronic monitoring.
Culmer admitted to improperly accessing the databases to help her fiance. Court records say her fiance is a convicted drug dealer and was trying to obtain information about drug associates. She also did wanted-persons checks on her fiance and someone her sister was having a dispute with, as well as vehicle-records checks on her fiance’s brother and a person her fiance had a dispute with.
Police seek car in BW Parkway shooting
U.S. Park Police say someone fired a gun at a “party bus” in a possible road-rage incident on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.
The shooting happened near New York Avenue at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday.
Police said there might have been “interactions” between people on the bus and another car. The bus stopped in the median and the car stopped in front of the bus. A car passenger fired a gun at the bus’ windshield. The round hit the glass but no one was injured.
Police are looking for an older-model black four-door BMW with a D.C. license plate. Tipsters can call Park Police at 202-610-8737.
