Teen arrested in elderly cancer patient?s rape

City police on Thursday charged a Dundalk teenager with raping an 88-year-old cancer patient this summer. Police say Dwayne Price raped the elderly woman in Southeast Baltimore on Aug. 1 after he posed as a maintenance man to get her to answer the door.

He forced himself inside, grabbed her from behind and raped her, the victim told police.

The victim said Price also robbed her of money and fled through the back door.

The woman, whom police described as a “cancer patient,” was treated at Mercy Hospital.

Police collected DNA evidence from the scene that matched Price, who was arrested in Baltimore County on Sept. 11 on burglary charges. A Baltimore County Grand Jury indicted him in that case on Oct. 1.

Price?s DNA also links him to a sexual assault two years ago in Baltimore, according to city police.

On Sept. 12, 2005, Price is believed to have climbed through a window of an East Baltimore home and raped a 73 -year-old woman, according to police.
