Keeping with tradition, on Tuesday night the Adams Morgan bar Ventnor Sports Cafe will be hosting its 7th annual State of the Union Viewing Party. For those unfamiliar with this affair, there’s only one component to keep in mind — the shots. Each year attendees choose a word the president might mention in the speech, say “health care” or “energy,” and if he says it they get a $1 jello shot. The party starts at 8 p.m. and there’s no cover. President Obama is scheduled to speak at 9 p.m.
