12 times the 2016 election cycle made us laugh

I‘ll be the first to admit that there were times when 2016 made me cry. But there were also times when 2016 made us laugh so hard we cried. Either way, lots of tears were shed.

With all the heartache that accompanied this election cycle, it’s important to close the chapter on 2016, but it would be a shame if we didn’t memorialize the following #LOL moments.

Bald eagle vs. Donald Trump’s hair

Even animals can’t help but test the realness of Donald Trump’s hair.

Balloons for president!

The Clinton household is in full support.

Here’s Hillary freaking out.

Bernie Sanders runs. Physically. To catch a train

Run, Bernie! RUN!

Kasich as Fruit Ninja

Kasich’s hand gestures can’t stop, won’t stop. And we’re not complaining.

Bernie Sanders’ alter ego: Larry David

Hillary “dabs” and “nae naes” with Ellen.

Turns out, white people still can’t dance.

The dab.

The nae nae.

When you gotta go, you gotta go.

The bathroom break heard ’round the world made us all recognize that Hillary is human after all.

The superlative for “best teller of dad jokes” goes to Jeb Bush.

Hint: when you have to start your own applause line, you might be out-of-touch.

That time when one person showed up at Martin O’Malley’s rally and still couldn’t support him.

Tough crowd.

Chris Christie’s face at his Trump endorsement press conference. Silent screams are the worst.

Have we overused this? Absolutely.

…and of course “Sticker Kid.”

I mean, who doesn’t love a sticker (or 27) on their person?

So long, campaign season.
